The
dolls museum:The
Doll Museum is housed in the former stables of the castle of Josselin
transformed into a modern museum. In 1984 Antoinette de Rohan opened the
Doll Museum which has over 400 pieces, the oldest dating from the 17th
century. Each is displayed with the appropriate outfits, trousseaux, and
furniture, thanks to research and donations.
The visit has something to offer for all ages being
rich in providing knowledge of history and traditions on many levels. Each
year, a temporary exhibit around a theme is on display.

Museum of the Prehistoric
Age, A voyage from
450,000 BC to 800 AD in the CARNAC region.
Situated in the heart of Carnac, in
an old monastery, this exhibition holds over 6600 exhibits, documenting
megaliths (standing stones) throughout Europe.
POUL-FETAN:
An ancient Breton village,
This small village of XVIème century whose houses were restored
constitutes a perfect example of rural architecture; its thatched roofs,
its doors in warheads, its external staircases and its massive chimneys
are characteristic of the Breton houses. Poul-Fetan finds its origin in
the presence of a source, “Poul” which into Breton means laundrette
and the source “Fetan” which gave their name to this village. |
